In the early 2000s, a bootleg port of Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001 on the Game Boy Color infamously named Terrifying 911 was released by the Taiwan company Hitek.
Despite it's controversial nature, the graphical conversion from 16-bit to 8-bit is actually rather impressive. The game manages to retain a good amount of animation frames and details in its sprites.
As an effort to rip and publish the game's spritework online, fellow spriter and artist Piglish made detailed sprite sheets of the game's oddly fascinating graphics. Huge credit to them for all of the sheets listed below!
