Wolfenstein: The New Order is a game with a good amount of scrapped content. While there's no major changes to its core story, it does have a lot of unused line deliveries and material that hints to alternate quests and objectives.

Chapter 1 - Deathshead's Compound (Plane / Bunkers / Wall / Courtyard / Incinerator)

The first chapter has a lot of unused voice lines spoken by Fergus and the other allied NPCs, way more than the rest of the game's chapters.

For clarification, the allied planes at the beginning of the chapter are categorized as follows:
- The planes carrying troops are designated as Condors.
- The planes carrying supplies and cargos are designated as Vultures.

Unknown Vulture/Condor Pilot: "Direct hit! Engine fire! The (???) flow further! Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!"

This was supposed to be used at the very start of the game, among the panicked chatters just before the engine 6 of Vulture 1 gets damaged.

Fergus Reid: "You need to clamp the engine 6 fuel line, Blazkowicz. There's a pair of pliers and some baling wire in the tool cabinets, right next to the cockpit entrance."

Fergus Reid: "The tool cabinets are by the cockpit door."

These alternative quotes are replaced in-game with more stressed-spoken ones. Also, cabinets? There's only one tool cabinet in the final product.

(Version 1)

(Version 2)

Fergus Reid: "...I've been sitting right here, pissing down my damn pants! Come on, baby..."

Fergus' toilet needs were originally not forgotten in mere seconds.

Fergus Reid: "Fire! Fire! Clamp it now, for fuck's sake! Get into the fuel line compartment! The fuel line is on the far end, to your right!"

The first part part of this quote is used in-game, but the rest is completely unused.

Fergus Reid: "Look to your right!"

Just an extra quote of Fergus being pissed at Blazko's inability to find a panel.

Fergus Reid: "Get to the cargo bay, it's in the back of the plane. Just dump everything."

Fergus Reid: "Blazkowicz, go down to the back of the plane and enter the cargo bay. Cut the crates loose."

Originally, Fergus was supposed to tell you to go down to the cargo bay thrice if you stayed idle. But in-game, he only tells you to go down once.

Fergus Reid: "Those crates are tethered to the floor. Just cut the straps and the whole body ensemble will slide out the door."

An extra quote intended to be used during the cargo bay mini-quest, but is simply not used.

Fergus Reid: "Back on course for Deathshead's compound."

Meant to be played right after you dump the cargo out of the plane.

Fergus Reid: "How are you holding up, matey?"

Supposedly an alternative version of the "Are you all right back there?" quote that plays just after the back of the plane takes a hit from one of Deathshead's flaks.

Fergus Reid: "Damnit, B.J.! Get into the turret seat, our fleet is getting pummeled! Ah this is a damn epic rammy, and you're needed at the trigger! Go on, strap in and start shooting!"

This quote is programmed to be heard in-game, but by the time you would hear it by waiting long enough the game automatically resets the checkpoint, thus leaving this quote unheard.
By using the Godmode cheat via the debug menu, the player can skip the reset and hear the line in-game.

Unknown Vulture/Condor Pilot 2: "It's everywhere..."

Condor 5-9 Pilot: "Condor 5-9 hit! Multiple hits! No response behind the rudder!"

Condor 4-7 Pilot: "Condor 4-7, something hit me in the face. I think I'm blind, I'm flying blind! Gonna try to settle down somehow. Look out below! Look out below, look out below!"

Unknown Vulture/Condor Pilot 3: "Hey Vulture 3-3, where are your GODDAMN GUNNERS?!"

Unknown Vulture/Condor Pilot 4: "My God, it's everywhere..."

All of these voice lines were supposed to be used during the turret-shooting part, and none made the cut!.

Unknown Vulture/Condor Pilot 5: "This is brightside, fellows! They ceased on the attack!"

This clip would have likely been played right after the player would have taken care of the German jets.

Fergus Reid: "Appreciate your problem, Condor 9. I see smoke, I see solution coming off your rudders. Your frise ailerons are done."
Randall: "Yeah, this thing handles like a concrete fridge. Thanks Fergus for the--"
Fergus Reid: "Condor 9! Come in Condor 9! (...) Shite, that's a troop transport. Condor 9! Come in, come in, Condor 9!"
Probst Wyatt III: "This is Condor 9!"
Fergus Reid: "Who's this?"
Probst Wyatt III: "Private Wyatt, 109th Airborne!"
Fergus Reid: "Alright, listen up Private: this is Wing Commander Fergus Reid, Vulture 1. Captain and co-pilot. What's the butcher's bill?"
(Missing quote)
Fergus Reid: "Fuck me... Blazkowicz, you see that lockbox there by the co-pilot seat? There's a belt inside, go get it would ya. Alright beer boy. Listen up, pay close attention. Now... You see the pilot's wheel?"
Probst Wyatt III: "Yes, Sir!"
Fergus Reid: "Right, I want you to grab it as hard as you can with both hands and pull it towards you. Now, don't turn it, mind ya! You keep it level, just pull it towards your chest."
Probst Wyatt III: "Okay, Sir! (...) I think it's working! We're levelling out!"
Fergus Reid: "Ah that's good work there, Private Wyatt. Now, keep your nose up. Nose up, and you'll be fine."

An extended version of Fergus' instructions to Wyatt when he takes the wheel after the pilot's death. Condor 9 would have probably crashed into the water by the time the conversation was over, which explains why it got shortened down.

This version of the conversation also hints at a scrapped mini-quest before jumping ship: stabilize Vulture 1's trajectory by securing the co-pilot's wheel with a belt! Probably to avoid Vulture 1 crashing into other Allied planes.

Fergus Reid: "B.J.! There's a belt over there in the lock box there by the co-pilot seat. Open up the box and get that belt, quickly!"

Fergus Reid: "Blazko, come on! Open that lockbox over there by the co-pilot seat and get that belt!"

What Fergus would have said to you if you took time to get the belt...

(Normal)

(Radio)

Fergus Reid: "Blazkowicz, tie the belt around the co-pilot's steering wheel. Tightly, tight as you can."

(Normal)

(Radio)

Fergus Reid: "B.J., get back to the seat, take out that belt and tie it around the steering wheel. You need to secure that thing."

...And here's what Fergus would have told you if you took time to tie the belt to the wheel.
A thing to note is that the radio quality is considerably worse than the one heard in other voice lines.
Oddly enough, there isn't any voice lines for when you accomplish this mini-quest.

(Normal)

(Radio)

Fergus Reid: "...The Devil am I doing..."

This voice line is used at the same time than Fergus tells you for the third time to open the cockpit door. For unknown reasons, at the same time this quote plays, a crowbar suddenly appears in front of Fergus in-game and lodges itself in the plane's deck. Perhaps Fergus would have maybe secured his steering wheel too with it before leaving?
You can see this small oddity in action in this video.

Fergus Reid: "Blazko, there's business that needs doing."

An extra voice line meant to be played when you don't speak to Fergus right after killing the 2 Panzerhunds.

Fergus Reid: "Okay, move out Blazko."

(Normal)

(Radio)

Fergus Reid: "Better get moving there, Captain. We will cover your back."

(Normal)

(Radio)

Fergus Reid: "Blazkowicz, run to those trenches. We will cover you."

The first clip was meant to be used right after the little cutscene with Fergus telling you to disable the machine gun, while the other ones would have played if you were hesitant to run to the trench.
In the final product, Fergus doesn't speak to you at all until you get inside the machine gun bunker.

Fergus Reid: "Alright, you're in. Now disable those 3 machine gun nests."

Fergus Reid: "Eh, the machine guns in those nests appear to be fully automated. If you could find some sort of centralized power source and disable it, you'll shut all of them down at once. Or you can take them down one by one. Whatever tickles your fucking fancy there, Captain Blazkowicz."

If you shut down the centralized power source

Fergus Reid: "That did it! Whatever you did, magnificent work Blazko, all the machine guns have ceased firing. Now, try to find an entrance to the cliffside bunker. There are 2 cannons up there that I need you to eliminate. I'm taking the unit up along the beach here toward the compound."

If you disable the machine guns one by one

Fergus Reid: "That's a lovely work there Blazko, one of the machine gun nest just stopped firing. 2 more to go. We'll need the respite, have enough trouble with that Nazi walking war machine. A giant bloody stomper..."

Fergus Reid: "Grand, keep at it. Put that last machine gun nest out of action."

Fergus Reid: "Top job Blazko, that's the last one! Now, try to find an entrance to the cliffside bunker. There are 2 cannons up there that I need you to eliminate. I'm taking the unit up along the beach here toward the compound. Unless we get stomped..."

Another alternate quest: the player was originally supposed to disable 3 machine gun nests instead of just one.
As explained by Fergus, you could either disable them one by one or shut down their main source of energy.
There is also an unused model of the generator for the automated turrets still in the files, although it's in an encrypted format.

Fergus Reid: "Okay Blazko. We're getting nearer to the cliff wall directly below Deathshead's compound. Gonna take a lot of fucking rope to climb up there."

Slightly shorter and different than the one in-game.

Fergus Reid: "Ahaha, the westside cannons have ceased firing. Good progress Captain."

Fergus Reid: "Looks like the eastside cannons are down Blazko."

Fergus Reid: "Now, hurry on over to the westside cannons."

Fergus Reid: "Now proceed on over to the eastside cannons."

Fergus Reid: "Now, find the exit and let's meet-up outside."

Originally, you could choose which of the 2 cannons to disable first. If you disabled the westside cannon, you would then disable the eastside one or vice-versa. Judging by the quality of the radio effect not heard anywhere else, it's possible that this quest was scrapped pretty early on.
Fergus also says "cannon" in plural, implying that there were potentially more than one cannon per side to disable.

Even though the positions of the cannons are never talked about in-game, you can still find 2 signs mentioning the original names of these cannons in German.

Fergus Reid: "You've done good Captain. So move on upward, and secure the other cannon."

A simple alternate take of the one used in-game.

Fergus Reid: "Putting that cannon to good use, are ya Blazko?"

Fergus Reid: "Was that you annihilating that grand walking war machine, Captain? That is some fine shooting!"

Fergus Reid: "Was that you annihilating those grand walking war machines, Captain? That is some fine shooting!"

Alternate voice lines meant to be player after the player has destroyed the Stomper with the AA gun.
In the last clip, Fergus notes that there are multiple war machines, perhaps meaning the early draft of the chapter featured more than one mecha on the battlefield.

Probst Wyatt III: "Hey! Captain Blazkowicz, up here!"

An extra voice line for Wyatt telling the player to take his hand after the Panzerhund encounter.

Gates: "Good to go, Captain Blazkowicz?"

This would have likely been used right after the allied flying fortress crashes into the German compound.

Gates: "Okay, okay. Almost there Sir, lemme just- hey there's a ledge here, Sir! We can use it to reach said balcony.
(...)
I made it, Sir! Use the ledge to reach the balcony!"

The player was originally supposed to access the control room via a balcony and not by entering some random window. Taking into account that the compound was under severe reconstruction during the allied attack, the balcony was maybe supposed to be made out of scaffoldings...

Gates: "Just get to the ledge! Then shimmy over to the balcony and then jump!"

Gates: "Sir, you can reach the balcony by that ledge over there! Climb up, and shimmy over to this side!"

...And here's what Private Gates would have said if you waited around.

Fergus Reid: "Ah, nice of you to grace us with your presence, Captain Blazkowicz! Listen up, you Nazi cunts: you're in trouble now!"

This light hearted quote was supposed to be used when Blazko arrives at the courtyard, but simply goes unused.

Probst Wyatt III: "They just keep coming! Shoot!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Nazis everywhere!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Come on! Gotta keep fighting!"

While in the final product only Fergus speaks furing the fight, Wyatt was also supposed interject with these voice lines.

Probst Wyatt III: "That's right Nazis, you're done for now!
Blondie: "Gonna save the day, are you Wyatt?"

A short interaction between Wyatt and Blondie. Oddly enough, the voices have the same radio filter that Fergus and Gates use, despite both of them not wearing any headset.

Fergus Reid: "Lessen the chit-chat, matey. Everybody, listen up! To get further up the compound, we'll be needing to make our way trough this here aircraft. Blazkowicz, see if you can find an entry point on your side. Heading inside now, meet you there."

A completely aternate version of the one used in game. Judging from the first few words of that quote, this line would have been used at the time Wyatt was talkative during the courtyard battle.

Fergus Reid: "No more stupid heroics, alright lads!?"

Fergus Reid: "Who are you calling Johnny Fritz? You're off your head!"

Fergus Reid: "Ah shut it Blondie! Stay focused, you idiot..."

These random voicelines from Fergus were supposed to be used in the crashed airplane, where the team must squeeze through a broken beam. Sounds like they were meant to be used for a small conversation between Blondie and Fergus. However, there's no voice lines from Blondie to be found.

Prendergast: "Well, at least it's not on fire."

The only unused line of Prendergast in the whole chapter. Most likely would have been used right after Blondie's quote just before his death ("What's all this then?").

Fergus Reid: "Jesus Christ served with neeps and tatties, what the Devil have they been up to in this place?!"
Probst Wyatt III: "This can't be real! It just can't!"
Fergus Reid: Stay calm, Wyatt. Squeeze that trigger!
Probst Wyatt III: Yes, Sir! I'll do my best, Sir!"

Funnily enough, instead of Fergus telling everyone to stay calm and focused, him and Wyatt freaked out when seeing the Super Soldier for the first time.

The following is a collection of quotes that were supposed to be spoken by Fergus and Wyatt during the Nazi Super Soldier fight.
They would have played during these following events:

When too close
When hitting armor
When landing successful shots
When nearly dead
When dead
Misc.

When too close to the Super Soldier

Fergus Reid: "Stay clear from it, Blazko!"

Fergus Reid: "Watch out!"

Fergus Reid: "Stay out of its reach!"

Fergus Reid: "Keep away from it!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Sir, you're too close to it!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Get out of the way, Sir!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Don't get too close!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Oh watch out Sir, it's got a hell of a punch!"

When hitting the Super Soldier's armor

Fergus Reid: "That armor is too thick!"

Fergus Reid: "You're hitting armor!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Bullets just bounce off its armor, Sir!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Don't shoot at the armor, Sir!"

When landing successful shots on the Super Soldier

Fergus Reid: "That's it!"

Fergus Reid: "Keep at it!"

Fergus Reid: "Nice shot, it's bleeding!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Yeah! There you go! Hit the exposed parts!"

Probst Wyatt III: "You're hurting it, Sir!"

Probst Wyatt III: "That's it, Sir!"

When the Super Soldier is nearly dead

Fergus Reid: "Keep doing what you're doing, Blazko. It's working!"

Fergus Reid: "Seems to have some trouble breathing!"

Fergus Reid: "Shoot it in the face"

Probst Wyatt III: "I think we're wearing it out, Sir!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Oh no no no no no no! Die, I tell you!"

When the Super Soldier is killed

Fergus Reid: "Go on, die you fuck!"

Probst Wyatt III: "That's right! Choke and die, you monster!"

Miscellaneous quotes

Fergus Reid: "That is one ugly gadgie!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Ooooooh!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Hell's bells, what's this thing made of?!"

Out of all of these, only 2 quotes (one from each character) made their way into the final product.
I think the reason why a lot of character quotes from this chapter was cut was to keep the tone of the game relatively serious, and to make the characters react more realistically to all the stuff that's going down instead of making them all quippy.

General Deathshead: "Captain Blazkowicz... I know a lot about you. We have the same name, you and I. Wilhelm, William... But, you call me 'Deathshead'. I don't like it. I'm a happy man, you see? It doesn't sound right in English, say it correctly: Totenkopf!"

This quote was entirely scrapped from this chapter, but was still used several chapters later in another flashback cutscene. Deathshead's delivery of "Totenkopf!" was however re-recorded to sound more ominous.

Fergus Reid: "Leave him, Blazko! You're wasting time!"

Probst Wyatt III: "Just ignore him Sir - we don't have much time!"

These quotes would have played if you stayed around Prendergast instead of smashing the nozzles.

Fergus Reid: "Try connecting the yellow wire to the blue wire: 9 times out of 10 that'll override the wee fucker."

Probst Wyatt III: "Move the left pick to turn the lock until you reach the pin, then push the right pick to force the pin. That will open the lock."

Originally, both Fergus and Wyatt were to directly instruct the player on how to use their lock-picking technique. In-game, the instructions are simply shown in a message on-screen.
