2 years after Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001, Metal Slug 2 came out on the 23th of February 1998. It was, just like its predecessor, discussed on a handful of video game magazines. |

The Neo Geo Freak of June 1998 contains a small section overviewing the game's missions and a pretty big section
showing off most of Max.D's artworks done for the game.
As an interesting fact, the full view of the stages contain the hidden
off-screen parts normally not seen when playing.
Pages 96 and 100 contain some never seen before artworks about the characters of MS2. While page 100 just (supposedly) has an idea
for a cover of a manga with Eri and Fio in it, page 96 is far more interesting.
I first thought it was supposed to be some kind of QnA, but it turns out that the whole page is a little story centered around the
events of MS2. 20 years before MSA's confusing 'Another Story'!
The events are taking place in mission 2, where Eri and Fio seem to have a heated argument in the middle of their operation.
It's even very nicely illustrated at the bottom of the page.

The Action Gameside of November 2013 has 1 page overviewing the game and 2 pages showcasing multiple artworks done for
it. Another 4 pages found further in the magazine talks about Margaret Southwood, the combat instructor of this game, and the new
Slugs introduced in this game.
Page 60 lists all of the releases of the game up until 2013.
Page 139 presumably showcases a fanart of Eri.
